Hareide Design was established in the year 2000 by Einar Hareide, former design director at Saab Automobile. At present, Hareide Design has grown into an international company with offices in both Norway and Sweden focusing on consumer products, transportation design, maritime design and design strategies. After many years in the automotive business, Einar Hareide saw a big potential using his unique experience in creating a total industrial design service to help both small and big companies, creating distinct and successful products.

Hareide Design 10 year exhibition
2010 is an exciting year for Hareide Design! We celebrate our 10th anniversary; we are launching a new graphic profile, and are an important contributor to MomentumDesign. Participation in MomentumDesign gives Hareide Design a unique opportunity to show the importance of industrial design, the processes involved, and our customer´s products to a wide audience.
About MomentumDesign
An exhibition that explores the relationship between design and art.
MomentumDesign is a national and international exhibition with well known contributors from the design field taking part as exhibitors, seminar holders and other related activities.
The objective is to illustrate the importance of design, the processes involved and its importance in our everyday lives. The exhibiton will take place at MomentumDesign Arthall in Norway, Moss. Duration: 3. July – 3. October
Krabat Sheriff
The IF international product design award jury, has selected Krabat Sheriff for the prestigious iF Gold Award 2010!
2,486 products submitted from 39 different countries, competed for the coveted iF product design award. Out of 778 prizewinning products, the jury awards the IF gold award on a total of 50 of the best prizewinners. Krabat Sheriff received the iF gold award, and was able to successfully assert itself in a highly competitive and international environment.
New product from Hareide Designmill and Northern Lighting
Hareide Designmill is proud to present a brand new mood making lamp Illusion. This new combined bar table and lamp is designed by Norwegian design team Hareide Designmill for Northern Lighting, who are happy to include this magic illusion of a lamp into their lighting portfolio. Illusion will be officially launched during the Stockholm Furniture Fair in Sweden in February 2010. The fair runs from 2010-02-09 to 2010-02-13.
K-Master nominated for the Honours Award for Design Excellence
Hareide Designmill and Kongsberg Maritime is nominated to the Honours Award for Design This award is given to products that clearly distinguish themselves among those who receive the Award for Design Excellence. The award was introduced in 2000, and is the highest design award in Norway.

Mester Grønn is nominated for award
We at Hareide Designmill are proud on behalf of the flower store chain Mester Grønn for their nomination to this year’s Nordic Council of Shopping Centers prize. Mester Grønn is one of our customers, and in 2008 we designed a modern and integrated shop interior for them. Mester Grønn is nominated alongside two other shop concepts; Gina Tricot and Meny. The winner will be announced on October 29, and the candidates are assessed on the following criteria: positive economic turnover, staff- and leadership, internal and external marketing, shop development, and environmental care.
Hareide Designmill are proud on behalf of Mester Grønn, and wish them the best of luck in winning this prize.

Tidebaronen and Tidebaronessen
29.th of august was the date of the christening ceremony held at Aker Brygge, Oslo, for two new Brødrene Aa high speed passenger catamarans delivered to the transport company Tide.
The boats named “Tidebaronessen” and “Tidebaronen” are built in carbon fiber, the trademark of Brødrene Aa. Through its construction and high-tech materials, the NOx and CO2 levels are reduces by 40% compared to other fast speed ferries. The boats will run in the Oslo fjord, trafficking the routes Lysaker – Nesodden and Slemmestad – Vollen – Aker Brygge.
Hareide Designmill has a long standing involvement with Brødrene Aa, and we are proud to see these boats roam our local waters.
